A Spectra 6 canvas that drops into standard IKEA frames, works without a cloud account and talks to Home Assistant.
Best for: Tinkerers and privacy-minded buyers who want local control and their own framing.

Prices are the makers’ own list prices in US dollars (and pounds where sold in the UK), as seen on September 28, 2026. They change often, especially around Black Friday: check the shop before you buy.
Subscription and running costs
Optional “Pro” at $9.99 a month; core features are free (Bloomin8). Like the other frames here, it runs on a rechargeable battery rather than a power cord, so running costs are close to nothing beyond any optional plan.
Strengths
- Fits standard frames such as IKEA RÖDALM, so you choose the look (Creative Bloq)
- Local-first: works without a mandatory cloud, with Home Assistant and a REST API
- Longest battery claim among the 13.3-inch frames (1-3 years)
- Big 28.5-inch version for a statement wall
Limitations
- $499 for the 13.3-inch, $150 more than SwitchBot’s frame of the same size
- Some extras sit behind an optional Pro plan at $9.99 a month
- 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only on the 13.3-inch model
- The 10-inch model is still crowdfunding, so its specs may change
